Galatians Series Finale: Branded (Galatians 6:11–18)

As we conclude our journey through Galatians, Paul brings us back to the heart of the gospel: we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone in Jesus Christ—not by religious performance, works, or human effort.

In these final verses, Paul exposes the danger of religion that focuses on outward appearance while neglecting the heart. The Judaizers desired to be seen and accepted by others, but Paul reminds us that grace transforms us from the inside out. Following Jesus may come with opposition and cost us the approval of people, but it gains us the approval of the One who matters most.

Paul declares that the only thing worth boasting in is the cross of Christ. Through Jesus, we are made into a new creation, receiving a new identity and a transformed life by His grace.

As Paul closes the letter where he began—with grace—we are reminded of the central message of Galatians: Jesus is enough. Not religion. Not tradition. Not our own efforts. Only the grace of God found in Christ.

Key Truths:

  • Religion focuses on looking good on the outside; grace transforms us from the inside out.
  • Following Jesus may cost you the approval of some people, but it gains you the approval of the One who matters most.
  • Grace leaves us with nothing to boast in except Jesus.

Final Encouragement:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus. The more we see His glory and grace, the more our lives are transformed to reflect Him.
