The student Ministry of Refuge Church of Pike County

We want all of our students to know Jesus Christ and to find their ultimate joy and satisfaction in Him. We have designed our student ministry to deepen understanding of the greatness of our God, and to give encouragement in the pursuit of godliness.

True North Student group meets at the main Refuge building, on Wednesday nights at 6 PM - 8PM for games, food, and fellowship followed by a teaching from the Word. 

Wednesday nights - Learning to know God & live like jesus...

Where: Main building - 15610 Pike 292, Bowling Green, MO. 

When: We meet every Wednesday  6-8pm (the first Wednesday of each month we serve together at the church for Paper Pantry). 

Who: Students in grades 7th - 12th  (minimum age 12 yrs.).

July 1st ~ Paper Pantry

~ Our teens join the rest of our congregation at Refuge Church, in serving our community.  This event is the same time, 6-8pm, as our normal student group time but takes its place, the first Wednesday of each month.

~ Some teens run list of needs upstairs to be filled, some bring the items back downstairs, and others help load paper product items into client cars (with adult supervision).

~We will not be having ice cream this month!

July 15th -"Evangelism - How To Share Your Faith"

~ Guest speaker Anna Ince will be sharing her heart on the topic of “Evangelism: How to Share Your Faith”.  I love that she chose this topic because she’s living it every day.  As a former True North student who has now completed two years of college, Anna has experienced firsthand what it means to stand firm and be bold in her faith in a challenging environment.

~ Throughout the evening, she'll share personal stories from her journey, practical insights she's learned, and Biblical encouragement to help our students confidently share their faith with others.



July 22nd ~ "The life of Paul - Finding True Identity"

~ Guest speaker Sadie Joseph explores the transformative life of Paul and how his story powerfully connects to finding our true identity in Christ.  Through Paul’s journey of radical encounter, growth, and purpose, Sadie will guide us in discovering how surrendering to Christ reshapes who we are at the the deepest level.  This will be an encouraging and insightful message for our students.




July 29th ~ Pool Party!!

A fun time for students and friends! All students to meet at Refuge Church @ 6pm to leave for the Pool Party and return at 10pm. *More information to follow...

Mission week 2026

JUNE 14th - 19th (students will be at camp one day longer than 2BCBG LTN dates)

This year we are joining with another local church, 2nd Baptist Church BG, to serve our community together.  2BCBG started a mission effort a few years ago, called "Love Thy Neighbor", which offers minor work projects to those in need.  Our students will be staying at Refuge Church, but serving with 2BCBG during the day. If your teen is interested, the link below will connect you with the 2BCBG "Volunteer Packet", to be filled out and returned to Refuge Church, along with camp fee payment.  Camp fees this year are $150/student.  Scholarships are available. This fee covers: 2BCBG fee & donation, Snacks, Fun Day expenses, and Breakfast on Friday morning.

*Extending return of camp fee payment & Refuge papers/insurance card copy to June 10th.
