Sermon Points:
Matthew 5:7 - Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
1) Mercy offers compassion for others. Why? Because we are sinners who need mercy.
Two simple things before you object to showing mercy to others:
1) Pray.
2) What could be on the other side of showing mercy?
Matthew 5:8 - Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Three steps to help in being pure in heart:
1) Be honest with yourself
2) Draw near to God
3) Stay connected to other believers
