On Repeat: Psalm 27 – Part 2

Waiting is one of the hardest parts of following God. In Psalm 27:5-14, David reminds us that even those with deep faith experience seasons of struggle, unanswered prayers, and moments when God seems silent.

Although David was still surrounded by opposition, his confidence wasn't rooted in his circumstances but in God's presence. God became his shelter, his refuge, and the solid rock beneath his feet. While his situation hadn't changed, God changed his perspective, enabling David to worship, trust, and continue seeking the Lord.

As the psalm unfolds, David honestly pours out his heart to God, asking Him to hear, answer, and not abandon him. His transparency reminds us that faith doesn't ignore pain or questions—it brings them to God. Even when God's timing is different than our own, David refuses to stop seeking Him, believing that the Lord is still working, even in the waiting.
