On Repeat: Psalm 103 – Remember Who He Is

In the second part of Psalm 103, David moves from remembering what God has done to remembering who God is. In a world filled with injustice, oppression, uncertainty, and questions about where God is, David reminds us that the Lord is righteous, just, merciful, gracious, patient, and abounding in steadfast love.

This message explores the beautiful truth that God’s silence does not mean He is absent. Even when we cannot see what God is doing or understand His timing, we can trust that He sees, cares, and remains faithful. David reminds us that the character of God does not change with our circumstances.

We also take a deeper look at the difference between God's mercy and grace. His mercy keeps us from the judgment we deserve, while His grace gives us what we could never earn. Because of His steadfast love, God does not treat us according to our sins but removes them “as far as the east is from the west.”

Psalm 103 invites us to move these truths from our heads to our hearts and remember who God is when life is difficult.
